Find out why Divi is me for WordP… Establish themes for custom sites and site templates
As a web designer, I’ve tried a lot of different website themes and platforms. Some are good, some are bad, and there is one theme that stands out in particular. This is the web designer’s dream! Of course, I’m talking about the subject of Divi.
What is the theme of Divi?
Divi is a visual theme builder created by WordPress to elegant themes. Unlike a typical WordPress theme, it’s not template-based, although it does offer some pre-built templates for you to choose from. The magic of Divi is that it is completely customizable. You can start with a blank page and build any design you want without modifying lines of code.
Why use the bonus?
As a designer, when I design websites for clients, having complete creative freedom is important to me. Before I found Divi, I was either constrained by pre-made templates or had to hire a developer to build my design for me. With Divi, I can design a custom page in the design software of my choice (currently Adobe XD) and then build it myself in WordPress, which is easy, in a matter of days.
“But Stephen, I’m not a web designer. Why should I care about this?” I hear you. For designers and clients, working with Divi is a win-win. Here are a few ways my clients have benefited from Divi:
This is cost-effective
Developing a customized WordPress theme from scratch isn’t cheap. By using Divi, I actually save my clients the expense of hiring developers. This is true in both the short and long term. If your custom code website is broken, be prepared to spend a lot of money to repair it. The Divi theme is supported by an entire team of engineers who are constantly improving and updating it – without incurring additional costs to the customer!
Build faster
As I mentioned above, once I’ve decided on the design of a website, it only takes a few days to build it using Divi. In contrast, custom development takes weeks. When you start your dream business, speed is paramount. The faster your website is set up, the sooner you’ll be able to start harvesting these leads and sales.
It is very easy to use
Divi themes have an intuitive visual builder that appeals to designers and non-designers alike. Most of my clients want to be able to make basic edits and updates to their website after we work together. Simple editing such as exchanging text and images is a breeze with Divi. You can also save different sections and elements to a library for reuse on different pages. You can even duplicate pages so you don’t have to start from scratch when you create a new page.
Other uses of Divi
My main focus so far has been on why Divi is so good at custom web design. But what if you can’t afford to hire a web designer right now? If that’s the case, don’t worry. You can still reap the benefits of Davi.
Use templates
If you want the freedom, flexibility and excellence of a Divi theme, but don’t want to rent it out or start from scratch, your best bet is to buy a template. Specifically, you’ll need to look for Divi subtopics. A child theme is essentially a pre-made site template built using the parent theme framework. In this case, the parent topic is Divi. Divi Kids themes are great because they are easy to customize to match your brand. This means you don’t have to worry about your website getting mixed up with your competitors.

DIY website
Finally, if you don’t want to hire a designer or like the idea of using templates, you can choose DIY your website from scratch with Divi. If you have visual creativity and technical savvy, this is an interesting and rewarding challenge for you. If you’re not, you’ll want to spend some time researching web design best practices and visual design fundamentals. Either way, you should be prepared to spend quite a bit of time and effort on your website. To make yourself easier, I recommend investing in a course or mentor program that will guide you through the process step by step.
